How much does it cost to camp at Cariboo Place?
Dry sites are $25 a night, 20 and 15 amp sites are $35, 30 amp sites are $40, and full-service sites are $50. Rates are in CAD, per night — confirm taxes and availability with the office.
Where exactly are you?
6905 Highway 97 S, Quesnel, BC — right off the highway, about 10–15 minutes south of downtown Quesnel. Look for the big arrow sign.
Do you have showers and laundry?
Yes — hot showers, flush toilets and coin laundry, open 24 hours for registered guests. Showers are $1.00 for 5 minutes; laundry is $1.25 per wash and $1.25 per dry (liquid soap only, no bleach). Guests regularly mention how clean the washrooms are.
Is there a sani-dump?
Yes — the sani-dump is free for registered guests, and there's potable water on site. The sani-dump is closed daily from 4 to 7 PM, and sewer collars and hoses are required.
Can you fit big rigs?
Yes — pull-through sites, and we can accommodate units over 40 feet provided towed units are disconnected. Tell us your total length in your request and we'll match you to a site.
Do you take tents?
Yes — dry sites under the trees are $25 a night.
How do I reserve?
Send a request through the site or call (250) 747-0699. We confirm every request personally; for today or tomorrow, please call.
What payment do you take?
Cash, debit and credit.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel a weeknight reservation by 6 PM the day before arrival and there's no charge. For weekends, cancel by 6 PM three days before; for holiday weekends and special events, one week before. After those times the office applies a charge — one night for a weeknight, or 50% of the reservation for a weekend, holiday weekend or special event. No refunds for early departure.
Can you host groups, weddings or reunions?
Yes — the park is a superb spot for weddings, family reunions, group camping and Girl Guide or Scout camps. Whatever the occasion, call the office and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What are quiet hours and check-out?
Quiet time is 10 PM to 8 AM, and check-out is 11 AM — for a later check-out, arrange it with the office at least the day before. The full list is on the campground rules page.
When are you open?
Seasonally, spring through fall — call to confirm current dates.We're closed for the season and reopening in spring. You can still send a request for next season — we'll confirm dates personally as opening gets closer.
Are pets allowed?
Yes — we're a dog-friendly park. Pets stay on a leash (6 ft maximum) at all times, get cleaned up after, and shouldn't be left unattended. Washrooms, the gardens, the office and the camp host site are pet-free areas, and visitors can't bring pets in.
