Where does the campsite sit on Highway 97?
We're at 6905 Highway 97 S, about 10–15 minutes south of downtown Quesnel, directly off the highway — the Cariboo Highway, the old Gold Rush Trail. There are no narrow backroads to thread and no white-knuckle turns with a trailer behind you. You come off Hwy 97, and within seconds you're parked under the pines. Watch for the big arrow sign; the RV park is on the upper level.
How far is it to the next big stops?
We sit near the middle of the corridor, which is what makes us a natural overnight. Prince George is about 1 hr 20 min north. Williams Lake is about 1 hr 15 min south. Cache Creek is roughly 3 hr 30 min south, and Vancouver is about 6.5 to 7 hours away — an honest day's drive. Pull in for the night, get real sleep, and you'll finish the run fresh the next morning instead of pushing through in the dark.
Can you fit a big rig or a pull-through?
Yes. Pull-throughs are available, and larger rigs are welcome. We'll confirm the right site when you tell us your total length. For a one-nighter, a pull-through can mean you never have to unhitch: roll in, level up, plug in, and roll out in the morning the same way you arrived. Just include your rig type and length in your request so we can match you to a site that fits.
Can we dump the tanks before we leave?
There's a sani-dump on site and potable water too, so you can top up on the way in and empty out on the way out — no detours, no hunting for a station down the highway. It's the kind of thing you don't think about until you need it, which is exactly why we mention it. Hot showers, flush toilets and coin laundry are on site as well, if the trip's long enough that everyone could use clean clothes.
Is there anything to do if we stay longer?
Plenty, if the schedule allows. Quesnel is about 15 minutes north for groceries, fuel and a riverside walk, and the area is full of day trips — Barkerville, Ten Mile Lake, Dragon Lake and more. If a one-night stop turns into two, have a look at things to do near Quesnel and pick a direction. No pressure either way — a lot of guests are just here to sleep well and get back on the road.
